NOUN past questions: what they are and how to prepare

NOUN examines students through two official modes — e-Examination (computer-based) and Physical Examination, "Pen on Paper" — and NOUN publishes conduct guidelines for both, but we found no official, dated past-question archive on nou.edu.ng itself. Sites claiming a complete "NOUN past questions PDF" download for every course should be treated with caution: several we checked gate the download behind an email or WhatsApp signup and never actually deliver the file.

Which format applies depends on your course and centre. NOUN's own guideline documents describe the conduct rules for each mode (what's allowed, how the exam runs) but are procedural — they don't publish the actual question content in advance, for obvious reasons.

Why we don't sell you a "leaked" question bank

We will never publish or link to actual exam questions obtained improperly, and we will never label anything as a genuine past paper unless we can verify where it came from. What we can responsibly offer — and what we're building out course by course — is practice questions written to the same curriculum your course outline covers, clearly labelled as practice material, not as leaked or official past papers. If a competing site promises "real NOUN past questions and answers" as a free instant download with no sign of where the questions came from, that claim is doing a lot of unverifiable work.

How to actually prepare

  • Work through your course material inside e-courseware thoroughly — see our courseware guide — TMA questions are drawn from it directly.
  • Your TMA (Tutor-Marked Assignment) scores and feedback are the closest thing to a real preview of exam-style questions for that course; treat them as study material, not just a box to tick.
  • Ask your facilitator directly what format and topics the exam covers — this is a normal, legitimate question, not a shortcut.
  • Genuine student-run study groups (course WhatsApp/Telegram groups organised by classmates) often share worked examples from past TMAs — useful, but verify against your own course material rather than trusting an unattributed forward.

TMA rules — what we will never do

We do not publish or distribute TMA answers, current or past. Submitting someone else's TMA answers as your own is an academic-integrity issue at NOUN as at any university, and no ranking on this site is worth putting a student's standing at risk.
